Airport Route
The Airport Route serves Nantucket Memorial Airport and the Town of Nantucket. Sconset destination travelers can transfer free at the Macy Lane stop to the Sconset via Old South Road Route to Sconset destination. The Airport Shuttle travels to/from the Airport via Old South Road and Orange Street with convenient stops along Old South Road and the Mid-Island Area (use Landmark House stop or Bayberry Lane stop) with convenient stops along the way. The Airport Shuttle leaves town from Washington Street, across from the main Washington Street hub (approximately 1 block from Main Street) and in front of the terminal at the Airport. The Madaket Route serves the village of Madaket with convenient stops along, Cliff Road, North Liberty Street, New Lane and Madaket Road. This route also serves Madaket Beach. The Miacomet Loop serves the mid-island and outlying area of the island along Washington Street, Orange Street, Fairgrounds Road, Bartlett Road, Somerset Lane, Hummock Pond Road, Joy Street, Prospect Street and into town via Dover Street and Union Street with convenient stops along the way. Park your car at Faregrounds Restaurant, 7a.m. to 5 p.m. (Fairgrounds Road), The Muse (Surfside Road) and Oddfellows Lodge (Bartlett Road at the corner of Cato Lane). You may also park your car at the Chicken Box (Daves Street) and walk down Daves Street to the Landmark House stop on Orange Street to catch the Miacomet Loop. Use the Bayberry Court or Orange Street/Landmark House stop for mid-island destinations. Use the Orange Street/Landmark House stop to catch the Sconset Routes, Airport Route and Surfside Beach Route. Mid Island Loop - view map
The Mid-Island Loop serves the mid-island area of the island along Atlantic Avenue, Surfside Road, Hooper Farm Road, Lower Orange Street, Daves Street, Pleasant Street and into town via Dover Street and Union Street with convenient stops. Park your car at Nantucket Elementary School June 28-August 24 (Surfside Road), The Muse (Surfside Road) and the Chicken Box (Daves Street). There are many businesses and restaurants located in the mid-island area that can be reached by using the following designated stops: Hooper Farm Road/Sparks Avenue, Milestone Lane, Orange Street/Landmark House, Daves Street, and Freedom Square. To catch the Sconset Routes, Miacomet Loop, Airport Route or Surfside Beach Route, get off at Daves Street, walk down Daves Street to the Orange Street/Landmark House stop. The Mid-Island Route Shuttle leaves town from Salem Street (at the Corner of Washington Street, approximately 1 block from Main Street). The Sconset via Old South Road Route serves residential areas, businesses and restaurants along Old South Road and the village of Sconset via Orange Street, Old South Road, Nobadeer Farm Road, Milestone Road to the village of Sconset with convenient stops along the way. This route also serves Sconset Beach. Use the Macy Lane stop for the Airport. Use the Orange Street/Landmark House stop or Bayberry Court stop for mid-island destinations.
